Instructions to make Homemade ravioli:
- mix the flour and boiling water with a spoon until combined, then form into a ball with hands. allow to set ten minutes.
- while the dough it setting,mix the ricotta, parm, salt, pepper, and basil to combine. add the one egg and mix. add the one cup of meat and mix.
- reshape dough and cutin half. roll it out on a floured surface 1/4 to 1/8 inch thick.
- put teaspoons of filling along the dough, about two inches in from the edge. flip the edge over the fillingand press the dough together around the filling to give it shape. cut with a ravioli cutter (i used a round cookie cutter). ensure the edges create a seal around the filling.
- repeat step number 4 until all the dough it gone.
- cook the ravioli in heavily salted, boiling water. about 3-4 minutes, until the ravioli are consistantly floating on the top. i cooked 6 at a time that were 2 inches wide for 4-5 minutes, but mine were pretty big.
- combine ingredients for the sauce. once the ravioli are cooked, toss in sauce. enjoy!!
- note**i got this from the cooking channel, but it was so good, i had to share :-) sad that its not my own, but easy for kids to help or have a cooking party and everyone fill withtheir favorite filling (at least, thats what i am planning to do :-D )
