  1. Prepare 1 block Firm tofu
  2. Make ready 120 grams Minced pork

  6. Take 1 Katakuriko slurry
  7. Prepare Seasonings
  8. Take 1 1/2 tbsp Tianmianjiang
  9. Make ready 1 tsp Chinese chicken soup stock (powder)
  10. Make ready 1 tsp Soy sauce
  11. Make ready 1 tsp Sake
  12. Take 100 ml Water
  13. Prepare 1 tsp Doubanjiang (optional)
Steps to make Simple Mapo Tofu:
  1. Drain excess water from the tofu for half a day.
  2. Combine the seasonings.
  3. Heat vegetable oil and fry the garlic gently to bring out the flavor.
  4. Add the pork and carrot and stir fry.
  5. After the meat is cooked through, pour in the mixed seasonings. Simmer to let the meat absorb the flavor.
  6. Add the tofu and leek to simmer. It's done.
  7. My kids (3 year-old and 1 year-old) who love dishes seasoned with tianmianjiang, finished off the plate when I added blanched komatsuna to the dish!
  8. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
