  2. Get 1 pound/ 454 gms Firm Tofu cut in 16 pcs Enough Cornflour to dredge the Tofu
  3. Prepare 4 Tbsps Teriyaki sauce
  4. Get 4 tbsp water
  5. Take 1 tbsp Cornflour
  6. Make ready 3-4 inches Ginger Julliened
  7. Take 4-5 Garlic cloves paste
  8. Get 1/4 cup Mixed color Bellpeppers or any
  9. Make ready 1-2 Tbsps Chilli oil / Schezwan Chilli oil (see recipe)
  10. Prepare 2-3 tbsps Spring onion/ Scallion
  11. Get as per needed Veg oil to fry and cook
  12. Make ready For Garnishing the Tofu
  13. Make ready as needed Green onion Chopped
  14. Take 3-4 Garlic Sliced Fried
  15. Take For Veg Chowmein
  16. Take 150 gms Dried No Egg Noodles boiled & cooked (see recipe)
  17. Get 2 Small onion sliced in moon shape
  18. Get 7-8 Garlic minced
  19. Take 1 Carrot Julienne
  20. Get 8-10 French Beans chopped slanting
  21. Take as required Small Broccoli florets seperated
  22. Take 1 bunch Spring onion/ Scallion
  23. Get 3-4 tbsps Sesame oil / Veg oil
  24. Prepare 1 Tsp Grounded Black Peppercorns
  25. Get as per taste Salt
  26. Make ready 3 Tbsp Soya Sauce
Instructions to make Teriyaki Tofu and Veg Chowmein (Veg & Vegan):
  1. First fry the Garlic till nutty brown before you fry the tofu and some more oil to fry the tofu. Pat dry the tofu and dredge it in Cornflour and then dip fry or shallow fry till it's crispy, no need to brown, it will turn crispy before it browns.
  2. After frying keep it on a kitchen tissue paper for it to absorb the extra oil. Add water and Cornflour in the Teriyaki sauce, mix well and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan (use the tofu fried oil as needed), add the ginger julliene and saute it then add the garlic paste and saute, after this add the bellpeppers and saute it for few minutes. Add the Chilli oil or Schezwan Chutney and saute further, if needed add 1-2 tbsps water. After this add the teriyaki sauce slurry, continue stirring as you pour, add in the spring onion too.
  4. When it starts thickening add in the fried tofu, toss and mix and cook for a minute or so. Put it on a serving plate and garnish with fried garlic and spring onion/ Scallion.
  5. For Veg Chowmein Prepare vegetables as mentioned above. Heat oil in a wok and add the garlic first as it releases its garlicy aroma, then add the onion and saute. Then start adding vegetables one by one starting with tough vegetables. Add little salt (don't add too much as we are going to add soya sauce). When vegetables are stir fried, add the Scallion and saute and immediately add the boiled noodles and the soya sauce.
  6. Mix well check salt, if needed add it as per taste. Serve hot with Teriyaki Tofu !
  7. Ready to serve and ENJOY!
